About Me

Hey everyone! My name is Katie and I am a small animal veterinarian and wanna-be Disney princess.

I am currently working in Blacksburg, Virginia (Go Hokies!) and am working towards completing an ABVP residency in canine/feline medicine. I graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and then said good-bye to my home in Anaheim and moved internationally to Prince Edward Island, Canada where I completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship.

My primary focus in school was small animal general practice with the goal of one day owning my own practice. I also have an interest in dairy animals (goats and cows), and raised a few cows in my undergraduate career. I love spending my free time with my two pooches, Ruby and Zeus, (pictured below), and doing veterinary related outreach in the community. I am so lucky to be on the path towards my dream career and I am so glad to be a part of the best profession!

When I’m not doing veterinary related things (or even sometimes when I am), you can catch me singing Disney tunes (off-key, but still very loudly), watching hockey (Go Ducks!), curling (yup, the sport on ice), or reading a good book.
